IDA Regional Meeting with Global Network

The Chair of ADF, Mr. Lim Puay Tiak had regular meeting with global network of International Disability Alliance (IDA) in Beirut to talk about interregional collaboration and support for making all regulation compliance with CRPD. The meeting was held in Beirut on 2 March 2018.

International Disability Alliance (IDA), International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC) and Disability Rights Fund meet to discuss on maximizing SDGs momentum for further implementation of the CRPD, and ensuring meaningful engagement of DPOs, especially from women, youth, most marginalised groups and poorest countries at global, national and regional level. There was an overview of current initiatives and upcoming priorities around Article 11.

The partners collectively discussed synergies between the BRIDGE CRPD-SDGs initiative and other IDA and IDDC capacity development/advocacy actions for CRPD-compliant SDGs. The rich, informative and substantive discussions will ensure that all partners continue to work together collaboratively moving forward at global, national and regional level.
